What makes a dad hat different from a baseball cap?
A dad hat is unstructured (no buckram in front panels), has a softer / lower crown, uses garment-washed fabric for vintage hand-feel, and closes with a fabric strap and metal slide buckle (not a plastic snap or fitted band). It's the casual, lifestyle alternative to the structured baseball cap.
What wash treatments are available?
Pigment wash (subtle color softening), stone wash (faded vintage look), enzyme wash (smooth premium hand-feel), garment wash (signature dad-hat finish — most popular), and acid wash (heavy vintage / distressed look). Each adds 2-4 days to production and a small per-piece cost.
Is the metal buckle real brass?
Our standard antique brass buckle is brass-plated steel. Solid brass is available on request (premium retail upgrade). Matte black powder-coated and brushed nickel are also stocked. Leather pull-tab finishing is available for premium drops.
